Administrators scale back longer school year proposal

The Minnesota Association of School Administrators called Tuesday for the Legislature to extend the school year by about two weeks. Last year the group sought an extension of more than a month, but that proposal made little headway at the Capitol. The administrators also want increased funding for special education, preschool and all-day kindergarten.
