Future Tense: Is StolenIDSearch.com a crazy idea?

On today's Future Tense (RealAudio - MP3 - iTunes), I talk with the CEO of Trusted ID about a new service that lets people know of their Social Security and credit card numbers have been stolen.
On Stolen ID Search, users enter their numbers to see if their information is in known sources of stolen personal data.
Sounds like a really, really bad idea to type your personal data into some Web site, right?
