Cooler, windy Friday with scattered showers
It’ll be windy and much cooler with scattered bands of occasional rain showers. Below-normal temperatures persist into the weekend, but we should dry out Saturday and Sunday.
Tornado watch until 8 p.m. includes Twin Cities
A tornado watch has been issued until 8 p.m. in Minnesota, including the Twin Cities and a large swath of the middle of the state and western Wisconsin, as conditions remain favorable for the development of strong storms. These storms could produce damaging winds, large hail, and the potential for an isolated tornado.
One last hot, dry day before a cooler, stormy pattern takes hold
Wednesday will be the last mostly sunny, dry and hot day for a bit. Our chances for rain and thunder increase Wednesday night into Thursday and will be followed by much cooler weather.
Hopeful signs for much needed Minnesota rainfall over the next 10 days
Our record heat and very dry air masses give way to rainfall chances through the next 10 days. It may not be enough to quench the whole state, but many areas could see at least a couple inches of rain through next week.
Heat, fire danger linger Tuesday; rain, cooler temps on the way
Rinse and repeat. Another hot, breezy day with critical fire conditions, especially in western Minnesota. We are on track for a shift toward cooler weather and needed rain by late week.
