Severe weather expected Sunday night through Monday night
The first round of thunderstorms is expected to develop late Sunday night in the eastern Dakotas and western Minnesota, moving east-northeast toward dawn. Stronger waves of severe weather are likely to form Monday afternoon into the evening, with a risk of powerful tornadoes.
Cloudy skies with early rain showers: Dangerous weather day setting up for Monday
Mostly cloudy skies expected for the second half of the weekend. Light rain showers will wrap up early Sunday morning, as temperatures rise again into the 60s. A moderate risk for severe weather is shaping up for Monday, with strong tornadoes possible.
Cloud cover and rain chances move in Saturday night
Clouds will start moving in from the west on Saturday night, as temperatures drop into the 40s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible overnight into early Sunday, with temperatures rising into the 60s. Monday is expected to be turbulent, with a significant risk of severe weather.
Beautiful Saturday ahead with sunshine and 60s; rain chances move in tonight
Plenty of sunshine and 60s in store for Saturday as we head into the final days of April. Clouds roll in Sunday, bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms. Looking ahead, Monday’s severe weather potential is something to keep an eye on and start preparing.
Rain moves out, bringing sun and warmth later Friday and Saturday
A few light rain showers will stick around Friday morning, but clearing skies will take over by lunch. Saturday looks absolutely beautiful with highs near 65 and a light breeze out of the east. More rain is in the forecast for Sunday night and we could see a stormy Monday.
Latest drought report shows concerns for northwestern Minnesota
The latest United States Drought Monitor report shows growing concern for northwestern Minnesota, where precipitation has been scarce over the past month. An active weather pattern has funneled most of the recent rainfall into the eastern and southern half of the state.
