A breezy, chilly start to your week ahead
The week kicks off with noticeably cooler weather, as temperatures run about 10 degrees below average for this time of year. Multiple rounds of storms are possible late in the week, with the potential for heavy rainfall and a few strong thunderstorms.
Cold front to bring concentrated showers and cooler temperatures
A cold front is on the move, pushing southeast Saturday night and bringing scattered showers and a few thunderstorms to the region. As it passes through, expect a brief cooldown. While the rain may be hit or miss, the cooler air behind the front will offer a temporary break before warmer conditions return next week.
Sun, sprinkles, repeat
A fairly quiet weekend is on tap, with plenty of dry time and seasonable temperatures. Expect a mix of sun and clouds each day, but don’t rule out a few passing showers.
Classic June weekend ahead: Sunny breaks with hit-or-miss showers
Minnesota is gearing up for a classic June weekend with a mix of sunny breaks and hit-or-miss showers. While pockets of rain will pop up here and there throughout Saturday and Sunday, many areas will enjoy dry spells and comfortable temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s.
Drought, abnormally dry conditions still grip Northern Minnesota
Dry conditions remain firmly in place across northern Minnesota, according to this week’s U.S. Drought Monitor report. A changing weather pattern could bring much-needed rainfall to those drought-stricken parts of the state.
