Data overload

I recall the olden days with one computer model at the Bureau that went out 48 hours. This morning I was sifting through four models trying to find a resolution-compromise for a forecast of the elements on your Saturday. YIKES! If I had hair, I'd be pulling it out.

Paul Huttner and I will combine brain power today to give you greater detail on the weather expected for Saturday and Sunday in Minnesota. Until then, there will be a wintry mix in far northwest Minnesota today and quiet weather in the rest of the state.

Do you believe that the high may be close to 70 at Des Moines this afternoon and near 80 at Kansas City?

Air masses will fight for control over Minnesota this weekend. Don't stray too far from your FM dial. We have plenty of weather news in store into early next week. Still time to book a flight to Mexico.
