Two men in a tub, actually.

I missed this one in all the excitement leading up to inauguration day, but apparently the Australian authorities rescued a couple of guys who spent almost a month floating around the South Pacific in a freezer - the only survivors of a shipwreck.
When you look at the picture, you have to wonder how these young Burmese gentlemen, Ko Ko Oo and Haung Htaik, managed to make it.

They claim to have survived on rainwater and meals regurgitated by sea birds.

My questions:

  • What do you talk about after the first ten days or so?
  • How does anyone sleep?
  • How do you convince a passing sea bird to give up some pre-digested fish?

I know our economy is bad and the weather is turning frosty again, but after reading their story, I'm feeling better about snow and ice and am not as eager for a south seas cruise as I was just a few days ago.

What questions would you have for Ko Ko and Haung?
