Republican party activists voted to give Tony Sutton another term as Minnesota Republican Party Chair and Michael Brodkorb another term as Deputy Chair. David Sturrock was also reelection Party Treasurer.
The activists also picked former State Auditor Pat Anderson to be the party's National Committeewoman and Hennepin County Commissioner Jeff Johnson as National Committeeman.
Johnson's victory was a surprise considering Tom Emmer was also running for the slot. Emmer was the party's nominee for governor last year and his Committeeman run was backed by Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, Congressman John Kline and former Sen. Norm Coleman.
The RNC Committee members serve two roles. They help direct the party at the state level on the MNGOP's Executive Committee and have a vote on the Republican National Committee.
