Paulsen has more than $1 million in the bank

GOP Rep. Erik Paulsen's campaign for Congress announced today that he raised $323,526 in the fist quarter of 2010. Paulsen also reports having $1,145,291 in the bank.
Paulsen's DFL opponent, Jim Meffert, didn't release his fundraising figures yet.
Update: DFLer Jim Meffert released these fundraising figures:

EDEN PRAIRIE, MN - Today, Congressman Erik Paulsen (MN-03) announced that he has raised $323,526 for the first quarter of 2010. The numbers reveal yet another strong quarter for Paulsen, who is a freshman member of Congress representing the Western Suburbs of the Twin Cities Metro Area."I am proud to have the support of so many Minnesotans for my reelection campaign," said Paulsen. "With another strong quarter, these numbers show I am fulfilling my promises to the people of the Third District and will have the resources to enter into the 2010 election in a strong position."
Since beginning his first term in the U.S. House of Representatives, Paulsen has been noted for his work on fiscal responsibility, government transparency, job creation, and pursuing bipartisan solutions to solve our nation's largest problems. To date in this election cycle, Paulsen has raised $1,523,205 and has $1,145,291 cash on hand.

When Paulsen says "I am proud to have the support of so many Minnesotans for my reelection campaign," he fails to mention the extra almost half million in taxpayer money he's used of his franking privilege.
He's in top four for using franked e-mail and virtually all of of the slick and colorful mailers are indistinguishable from campaign literature. In one he actually claims to have "secured" funding for highways in his district -when he actually voted against the bill that provided the funds. He was audacious enough to even include a picture of himself at a ribbon cutting ceremony!
Count me as one taxpayer unhappy that he's using my money to fool voters.
