Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann spoke at a "Kill the bill" rally at the Minnesota State Capitol this morning. You can listen to her speech here Listen

Meanwhile, the DFL Party is criticizing Bachmann for campaigning outside of Minnesota's 6th District (which she represents):

Michele Bachmann was once again outside her district again afternoon, hosting a Tea Party in St. Paul to preserve the health-insurance companies' status quo while people in the sixth district have to deal with skyrocketing health-care costs. But Representative Bachmann's absenteeism extends to more than just her infrequent visits home -- she hasn't been showing up for work in Washington, DC either. This weekend's rally comes on the heels of last week's report in The Washington Post, which laid out the 114 votes Bachmann has missed in the current Congress alone. Michele Bachmann doesn't bother to show up for work, while her constituents struggle to find work and her district leads the state in foreclosures rates.

Bachmann wasn't the only Republican politician to appear at the rally. Rep. John Kline also spoke at the rally. Gubernatorial hopefuls Tom Emmer and Marty Seifert were also in attendance.

Thanks to MPR's Jess Mador for getting me the tape. You can read her story about the rally here.

Leave it to the heavy handed liberals to make this a Partisan issue - this had nothing to do with party politics but rather the continued assault on American Freedoms with more big, unsustainable, unafforable Government. The American people have spoken time and time again that they DO NOT want this Healthcare Reform Package. It never gets noted in these articles that a largee percentage of persons who attend the Tea Party events, such as this, are not Republicans.

Leslie Davis was there also but who cares about him? He's only the best gubernatorial candidate in the race. He has the money plan, the energy plan and jobs jobs jobs. But who cares about him.

Michele Bachmann at the Kill the Bill rally in Minnesota was absolutely correct. We can show our support by removing that stinking BO: http://www.impeachobamacampaign.com

Incredible how some people just dont care to get any facts straight, just want to vote for their party, no matter how dumb or bad they are. that goes both ways. Bachmann is at the very best, somewhat insane. If you do some checking, you will find that most of the stuff she says, is off the wall, and not even close to the truth..Ignoring the facts, and listening to useless rhetoric is nothing new to some ultra right wingers, many have been brainwashed beyond repair, yet its the smart ones that are most disturbing. How they support ideas that are factually flawed, and continue to downplay healthcare for all as "big government", escapes me...
