Demmer takes next step in campaign for Congress

Randy Demmer, a Republican state lawmaker, has taken the next step in his bid for Congress. Demmer lives in Minnesota's First Congressional District and is one of a handful of Republicans who is vying to challenge DFL Rep. Tim Walz in 2008. Here's his release:

Demmer to host open house for new campaign headquarters.

Rochester, MN, June 21, 2007 — Randy Demmer, candidate for United States House of Representatives (MN-01) today announced an open house for his newly opened Congressional campaign headquarters to be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at 1530 Greenview Dr. SW, Suite 202, Rochester, MN.

"I look forward to the opportunity to meet with supporters and members of the public to share with them my vision of the future," said Demmer. "We are building a network of grassroots support across the First District, and I look forward to restoring common sense, southern Minnesota values to Washington."
