No, MPR News does not allow politicians to rewrite quotes

In a recent MinnPost piece, writer David Brauer wondered, Do Minnesota journalists let politicians rewrite quotes? He contacted multiple Minnesota news organizations, including MPR. From his entry,

MPR spokeswoman Christina Schmitt: "We don't allow anyone to retract quotes, edit quotes or review quotes pre-broadcast or pre-publication."
