Go ahead, "Like" MPR News stories

The Facebook "Like" button is now in place on MPRNewsQ features.

How it works

If you're logged into Facebook while also on MPRNewsQ, reading about finding homes for chimney swifts or another story, at the bottom of the feature you can simply click the "Like" button to share with your friends on Facebook:

If you're not logged in on your Facebook account, the plugin will give you the login screen. (If you don't have a Facebook account, you can sign up for one at that time.)

What it means, and what it displays

It means you share the news stories and cover on your Facebook account, and your friends will know that particular feature - for whatever your own reasons may be - gets a 'thumbs up' from you. For instance, I liked the video of people talking about springtime in Minnesota. It displays like this on my Facebook profile:

And my Facebook friends will know I "Like" it. Other people or my friends who are not logged into Facebook won't see it. That is a slick privacy function!

Ultimately it is a fast, easy way to share MPRNewsQ links while you're exploring our coverage. Try it out for yourself. As always, you can contact MPR with feedback or questions.
