Discussing Dems' choice for Minnesota gubernatorial race

Posted at 10:46 AM on April 25, 2010 by Julia Schrenkler

Margaret Anderson Kelliher won the DFL endorsement for governor Saturday, April 24th (see the photo slideshow of the convention) and Tom Scheck covered the details on Polinaut. But what I cracked open today was the online discussion recounting the event, and the reactions to Kelliher's nomination. Some sample quotes:

I'm for Anderson-Kelliher. She's a great legislator who will understand the intricscies of dealing with the legislature. We need a well-qualified woman as Governor.

Great. Thank you, Diana, for posting here. I was eager to find out the final tally.

I'm pleased with the results. My second choice is Rukavina. He's knowledgable and an amazing human being.

Will this be a race to "outliberal" each other? Lots of sound bites and quotes to use against them.

I'm not sure who I'm going to vote for in the primary. Just think of all the independants and Republicans voting in the primary! Do you move to the left or the center?

The next few months will be very interesting to watch.
