Do you buy goods made in the U.S.A.?

Posted at 10:34 AM on September 29, 2009 by Julia Schrenkler

Today's Question wonders...When you have a choice, do you try to buy American? From the discussion starter:

Requirements that stimulus funds be spent on American products and materials have sparked a dispute over whether such rules hurt American business in the long run.

This takes the locavore mindset to eat sustainable, local foods and support nearby business to a very intense, extensive level.

If you look around your home, how many of your belongings are actually made in the U.S.A. from materials also created in our states? Does that make a difference to you, or is the price tag the final deciding factor? Do you buy with business and economic impact in mind?
