The MPR News Fellowship is a terrific opportunity to bring your perspective and analysis to our coverage:
The Minnesota Public Radio News Fellowship is a new program that will bring people from diverse backgrounds and experiences together. The goal is to discuss and analyze the first year of Barack Obama's presidency.
Fellows will attend eight weeknight discussions and read approximately six selections of written material from March to December 2009, in order to share a common reading and discussion base. You will also be asked to draw upon your own personal experiences, views and opinions during the discussions - some of which will be edited for broadcast.
From my personal perspective, the committment will be worth it.
Apply now - tell us a little bit about yourself and share your top concerns for this presidency. Applications are due by February 27, 2009 and everyone who applies will be notified - either way - of their status by late March.
