Share the theme song to your relationship
Posted at 3:23 PM on October 2, 2008 by Julia Schrenkler
This week the Musicheads pose a beauty of a question:
Have you ever had a "theme song" for your relationship with a significant other? You tell us which song and the story behind it.Whew! Some answers are sweet, some amusing, but all are interesting:
"My girlfriend and I decided our theme song was Otis Redding's 'I've Been Loving You Too Long (To Stop Now)' We think it's pretty indicative of our relationship with such lyrical gems as 'As you become a habit to me.' Yep, it's a healthy relationship." - Matthew P."'The Perfect Fit' by Van Morrison. This is the first song my wife and I danced too when we were dating, and I proposed to her at Lee's while the Belfast Cowboys were playing it. Of course it was our first dance at our wedding as well. I can not think of a song who's title says it so well." - Mike W.
"Harvest Moon- Neil Young 'come a little bit closer, hear what I have to say' I am a mumbler... especially after a long night of staying warm with whiskey." - Kelsey H
Go on, admit it. Tell us the theme song to your relationship.
