Fresh off mpr.org: To solve racial disparities, parents, schools call truce
Will a new covenant between black parents and Minneapolis schools work? Who is, or isn't living up to education expectations? Does it matter if it isn't working? I'm thinking back to Minnesota Public Radio's 2004 project coverage of the education achievement gap. How many ideas from the open community based idea generator referred to a truce or covenant, or consider it a step in fixing the gap?
Examine some of the proposed solutions and reconsider the issue.
