What would you do to change the economy?

Posted at 2:31 PM on February 15, 2008 by Julia Schrenkler

It isn't just any old economy either, it is Your Economy. What worries you about it, and what can we do? Right now MPR is featuring a new Idea Generator so people can do more than talk about the issues, you can actually collaborate on ideas to improve the economy.

I perused the entries, which reflect how varied and complex the economy is and how we relate to it. Some ideas start at home, like "Practice financial self-discipline." Others involve changing not our fuel consumption, but the type of fuel " Switch to low-cost fuel source." And still others go straight for the taxes, like "Base taxes on purchases rather than income."

On the idea generator you can browse, comment and rate existing ideas, or share your experience by adding your own idea.
