Jon Gordon reports Amazon tries to usher in the age of e-books:
The Kindle is about the size of a paperback, weighs 10 ounces, and sports a 6-inch screen. It's display attempts to match the clarity of a printed book.
According to Amazon's product page there are more than 88,000 book titles available, and you can subscribe to any number of newspapers or magazines. What people seem to have missed is Amazon's statement about also accessing "more than 250 top blogs" on the device.
I have to wonder about the Kindle's appetite for energy. Run out of power far from an outlet and you could be Version 2.0 of Mr. Henry Bemis. Have you seen one? Will you get one? Talk about it on our Minnesota Readers discussion group.
