In her latest dispatch from the Minnesota trade mission to India, Gita Sitaramiah reports that Gov. Pawlenty charmed at least one group of businessmen:
Retired IBM executive Gul Iqbal of Bangalore stood up, told the crowd that Pawlenty reminded him of Bill Clinton when he was a governor, and asked Pawlenty when he planned to run for president. Pawlenty deflected the question, and instead talked about how he and Clinton both share a common concern about education.

Incidentally, the reason you haven't heard much from me lately is that I just returned from a vacation in India, which I mention here only so I can remark that I found many Indians very knowledgeable and curious about American politics.
