Midmorning: Early education and the Garden Guru

At 9 a.m., Midmorning considers arecent study showing that early education can have lasting impact into adulthood on incarceration and abuse rates, even smoking habits. Kerri Miller's guest is Arthur Reynolds, a child development professor in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota and Director of the Chicago Longitudinal Study.
At 10 a.m., Garden Guru Deb Brown will take calls from listeners with end-of-summer gardening questions. Brown is a horticulturist who contributes a gardening column to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. She worked for many years at the University of Minnesota Extension Service's Yard & Garden Line.
