Midday: Constitutional sesquicentennial and New Orleans' recovery

August 29th is Minnesota Constitution Day! 150 years ago the Minnesota Constitution was signed. At 11 a.m., on Midday we'll talk about Minnesota's Sesquicentennial celebration, and what Minnesota was like 150 years ago. Guests are Annette Atkins of St. John's University, and Brian Horrigan of the Minnesota Historical Society. Annette Atkins is the author of a new book, Creating Minnesota: A History from the Inside Out.
At noon, an American RadioWorks documentary on the second anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, produced by ARW's Stephen Smith and Nick Spitzer, host of American Routes.
