Midday: Bridge politics and India's independence

At 11 a.m., state Sen. Steve Murphy, the chair of the Senate Transportation Finance Committee, and Rep. Alice Hausman, the chair of the House Capital Investment Finance Committee, will join Gary Eichten to preview today's legislative hearings on the I-35W bridge.

At noon, on the 60th anniversary of India's independence, a speech by former U.S. ambassador to India Richard Celeste. He spoke about India's history and future at the Aspen Ideas Festival.
