Softball and journalism mix in NYC
Posted at 5:57 PM on July 5, 2007 by Bill Wareham
As an avid softball player, I was intrigued by this account at WWD.com (that would be Women's Wear Daily) of the competition among media softball teams based in New York. There was a brief period back in the 1980s during which teams from Twin Cities media outlets faced off in an annual charity tournament (the MPR squad won one of those), but never a regular league. These days we've got a team in a league made up mostly of teams from state agencies. The competition is good-spirited, and there are few better ways to spend a nice summer evening.
