Midday: Title IX and Keith Ellison

Saturday is the 35th anniversary of the landmark gender equity in athletics law, called "Title IX." At 11 a.m., Mike Edgerly will discuss the impact and criticisms of the law with Mary Jo Kane, director of the University of Minnesota's Tucker Center for Research on Girls and Women in Sport.
At noon, Midday continues its presentation of the series of policy speeches from Minnesota elected leaders given at the University of Minnesota's Humphrey Institute. Today you'll Rep. Keith Ellison, the DFLer who represents the 5th District. He titled his speech Leveling the Playing Field for Working Families: Promoting a Consumer Justice Agenda.
