Midmorning: Confidence in Gonzales and foodie Rick Nelson

Posted at 7:37 AM on May 22, 2007 by Bill Wareham

Some U.S. senators, including Minnesota's Norm Coleman and Amy Klobuchar, have called for Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to resign. But his continued leadership of the U.S. Department of Justice may serve both Democrats and the White House, according to Kerri Miller's guests for the 9 o'clock hour. Wendy Schiller is a professor of political science at Brown University, and Seth Stern is legal reporter for Congressional Quarterly.

At 10 a.m., Star Tribune restaurant reviewer and food writer Rick Nelson joins Kerri to talk about the downfall of some beloved restaurants, and the resurgence of farmer's markets now that the growing season has arrived.
