Midday: Remembering Jerry Falwell and Studs Terkel

Posted at 9:09 AM on May 16, 2007 by Bill Wareham

At 11 a.m., Gary Eichten and his guests consider the influence and legacy of the Reverend Jerry Falwell in American life and politics. Guests are Corwin Smidt, director the Henry Institute for the Study of Christianity and Politics at Calvin College in Michigan, and former Pioneer Press religion editor Steve Scott, who is studying at United Theological Seminary in New Brighton.

At noon, on Studs Terkel's 95th birthday, we'll feature several of the interesting interviews Terkel conducted with famous people over the years, including Gore Vidal, Mel Brooks, Garrison Keillor and others.
