Midday: When governors and legislatures clash and pet care

Posted at 8:57 AM on April 6, 2007 by Bill Wareham (1 Comments)

At 11 a.m., former Minnesota Gov. Al Quie and former Senate Minority Leader Roger Moe will be Gary Eichten's guests to offer some perspective on the divergent views that are clashing at the state capitol between the Republican governor and the DFL-controlled Legislature.

At noon, veterinarian KateAn Hunter will be in the studio with her dog Ansel to answer MPR listener questions about animal care.

A question for Dr. Hunter - We have a 15 year old female cat. She cries at the top of the basement stairs to be fed, which is not unusual. We go downstairs and feed her, and when she's done she sits at the bottom of the basement stairs and cries loudly for several minutes before she comes upstairs. Sometimes she'll start crying loudly in the middle of the house but she stops as soon as we call to her. What is she doing?
