Midday: Halberstam at noon

Posted at 10:02 AM on April 24, 2007 by Bill Wareham (2 Comments)

As you've probably heard by now, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist David Halberstam died yesterday in a car accident. He was 73.

At noon, Midday will air a speech Halberstam gave in March 2006, a keynote address
about the Vietnam War at a conference on Vietnam and the presidency, held at the Kennedy Library. Halberstam was only 30 years old when he won the Pulitzer Prize for his Vietnam War reporting.
