Midmorning: Getting women into politics and understand the brain

Posted at 7:09 AM on March 23, 2007 by Bill Wareham

Kate Smith sits in again for Kerri Miller. At 9 a.m., she talks with a leader of the White House Project, aimed at encouraging women to run for public office and teaching them how to live a political life. Marie Wilson is the founder and president of the project, and author of Closing the Leadership Gap: Why Women Can and Must Help Run the World.
Also joining the conversation will be Sara Fenlason, executive director of the Minnesota Women's Campaign Fund.

At 10 a.m., a Minnesota writer considers his relationship with his mentally ill stepfather and explores the way culture views the brain. Kate's guest is Dennis Cass, the author of Head Case: How I Almost Lost My Mind Trying to Understand My Brain.
