Midmorning: Barack Obama and NPR's Ken Rudin

Since Kerri Miller talked to him last October, Barack Obama has joined Democratic frontrunners John Edwards and Hillary Rodham Clinton by fundraising in earnest. At 9 a.m. we'll rebroadcast that interview, in which Obama talks with Kerri about his background and his book,The Audacity of Hope.

At 10 a.m., NPR's political editor Ken Rudin offers his perspective on the early political season.The wide open race has attracted so many potential presidential candidates for 2008, it's hard to keep them all straight.
