From the Cold-enough-for-ya? Department

The dropping mercury triggered a flurry of news releases today from the folks at the St. Paul Winter Carnival regarding the status of tomorrow's torchlight parade. Hearty St. Paulites, apparently, aren't going to let a little chill in the air get in the way of their party:

The Saint Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation announced today that the Torchlight Parade has shortened the route of the parade and secured the St. Paul Library, the Ordway Center for the performing arts and Landmark Center for warming houses.

The parade will start at 6:00 p.m. on 5th street and Wabasha heading West on 5th street until Market. The parade will then turn left on Market and proceed to 4th street, Left on 4th Street. The parade will end on Market Street and 4th no later than 7:00 p.m. Parade route is approximately 3 blocks in length.
