Today's big thought: Sunset of the web?

Posted at 11:24 AM on January 22, 2007 by Bill Wareham

From Poynter.org:

Caterina Fake , the designer and artist who co-founded Flickr, and is now heading Yahoo's technology development group, tells a new media conference in Munich that she thinks we are confronted with the "sunset of the Web." She said, "The idea of a browser, of a Web page, is becoming less and less important. The Web is breaking apart. We set up our services online, but are then looking at the data on a mobile phone or PDA."

I've got to figure out what that means for a legacy media company trying to stay relevant in a new media world.
