Lanpher gets a new gig
Posted at 11:56 AM on January 5, 2007 by Melanie Sommer
Katherine Lanpher has been gone from MPR for nearly three years now, but a lot of us here still keep track of her comings and goings. She's going to be back on the radio soon, as reported in the Star Tribune:
Author and radio personality Katherine Lanpher will become the host on "More Time," a new talk show on XM Satellite Radio. Lanpher was a host on Minnesota Public Radio before moving to New York in 2004, where she was a co-host on "The Al Franken Show" on Air America Radio. The XM show, linked to More magazine, is aimed at women over 40 and will cover a range of issues. It premieres Jan. 16 on XM's Take Five channel.
Lanpher was in St. Paul in November for a reading of her new book, "Leap Days," a recounting of her transition from Minnesota to New York.
