Midday: Election Day voting and American Democracy

At 11 a.m., Longtime elections supervisor Joe Mansky will be in the studio with Gary Eichten to answer listener questions about voting. We'll also talk to congressional expert Steven Smith of Washington University about the key races to watch on election night.

At noon, a speech about American history by Sean Wilentz, author of "The Rise of American Democracy: Jefferson to Lincoln." Sean Wilentz is professor of history at Princeton University.
