On ME: Returning from Iraq, revealing clothing and settling the Great Plains

Posted at 5:35 PM on October 12, 2006 by Bill Wareham (0 Comments)

On Friday's Morning Edition, MPR's Tim Post will have a report on how the Veterans Administration is preparing now for the return of thousands of Minnesota troops in March. VA officials are talking to families and employers about what to expect when soldiers return from Iraq.

Marianne Combs has a report on a new exhibit at the Weisman called "Pattern Language." It's about clothing, but as Marianne says, it's not a fashion show. It is about what clothing can reveal about people.

Host Cathy Wurzer will talk to Steven Kinsella about his new book on early Plains settlers.

And of course, she'll talk to meteorologist Mark Seeley. One question for Mark: Can we expect just a couple of warm fall days yet or do we have to concede defeat to Old Man Winter?
