Midday: Candidates for secretary of state and state auditor, and a 1st District debate

At 11 a.m. the major party candidates for Secretary of State will be in the MPR studio with Gary Eichten for MPR's "Meet the Candidates" series. The major party candidates for state auditor follow at 11:30.

At noon, a debate between the 1st District candidates for Congress-- incumbent Republican Gil Gutknecht and his challenger DFLer Tim Walz. The debate was recorded at public television station KSMQ in Austin.
