Coming up on All Things Considered

Residents in north Minneapolis will soon notice the transformation of a mosque now housed in a couple of former restaurants into a more traditional Islamic worship space. MPR's Brandt Williams has a report on the $1.5 million expansion.
While Minnesotans focuses on the Twins and the Tigers this weekend, Tom Crann talks about the glory days of amateur baseball in Minnesota with two men who lived it. Armand Peterson and Tom Tomashek grew up idolizing their hometown baseball teams...later they had the chance to play on one of nearly 800 teams around the state. Now they've written a history of "Town Ball", from the end of WWII to the arrival of the Twins in 1960. Tom Crann met with them at the Amateur baseball championship series last weekend in Miesville.
And Nikki Tundel visited with folks waiting outside Target Center to audition for American Idol. Need I say more?
