Police chiefs on Midmorning on Friday

Posted at 3:11 PM on August 10, 2006 by Bill Wareham (2 Comments)

Kerri Miller's guests at 9 a.m. Friday will be Tim Dolan, interim police chief in Minneapolis, and St. Paul Police Chief John Harrington. It's a special show that will take place in front of a live audience in the UBS Forum at Minnesota Public Radio. Should be an interesting discussion on the challenges of fighting crime in the Twin Cities.

At 10 a.m., choirmaster and VocalEssence founder Philip Brunelle is Kerri's guest.

It's great to see MPR making more inroad into the blogosphere - what is the raison d'etre of this blog?

I'm not criticizing, I just don't get it understand the purpose of this blog and the first post in June didn't really lay it out.

I would really like to know if Mayor Rybak has added an extra 70 police to the Minneapolis force: he was hammered for rising crime in last year's election, then came out with a big plan to add police.

I haven't heard him boast of this accomplishment in office; nor has anyone followed up that I can tell.
