The transition from Marshall Fields to Macy's has begun in the Twin Cities, as the photo above will attest. Workers were removing the Marshall Fields lettering from the exterior of the downtown St. Paul store today, and replacing with the *macy's letters.
For those of us who still call the place Dayton's, it's going to take awhile for the change to sink in. I believe the full transition/name change takes effect on Sept. 9.
