Pardon our tardiness

I know we're unfashionably late to the blog party, but I hope you'll forgive us. We've been talking about creating a MPR News blog for many months, and as I think back the reasons for the delay feel pretty weak - they tend to fall somewhere between my genetic predisposition toward procrastination and my utter fear at exposing the inner workings of the newsroom. But hey, other newsrooms have done it (NPR's Mixed Signals is a personal favorite), so it's about time for us at MPR News.
