1967 - Davy Jones (The Monkees) opened his own boutique in New York City.
1977 - Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines and Cassie Gaines of Lynyrd Skynyrd were all killed in a plane crash.
1978 - Paul Wilson (Snow Patrol) was born.
1978 - The Police made their American debut at CBGBs.
1991 - Clint Black married Lisa Hartman.
2007 - Paul Raven (Killing Joke, Ministry, Prong) died from a heart attack.
