Coen Bros fans should check out Bruce Headlam's profile in today's NYT as the duo expound (well, maybe that's a little overstated, mutter about maybe,) their cinematic philosophy. The ell jokes about making a Hercules movie sometime. I for one would watch that!
If you are free tomorrow morning at 11 am with nothing else to do, check out Stuart Townsend's drama "Battle in Seattle" in the basement theater at the Landmark Theater. It's a powerful piece about the people involved in the WTO protests in Seattle in 1999. While Townsend clearly has a point of view in the story, he makes a point of addresssing everyone's humanity. The screening is free, but the Imapact people suggest reserving a seat through their website.
