Clooney and Zellweger head to Duluth

Posted at 4:26 PM on March 18, 2008 (0 Comments)

Fresh from working on the Darfur situation George Clooney heads to Duluth Monday with Renee Zellweger to do a little pub for "Leatherheads."

Although the film was mainly shot in the Carolinas, it is loosely based on the story of Duluth's NFL team the Eskimos.

While most of the visit will be closed to the public, there will be an opportunity at 1pm for fans to say hi outside the Duluth Depot.

There seems to be a fair bit of excitement over all this, although claims by one Duluth source that local politicians will now have a few days of free rein because the local press will be focused elsewhere clearly don't know just how jaded we inkstained wretches can be.
