Robb Mitchell of Screenwriter's Workshop is working with Jennifer Vogel and Bill Horberg on the staged reading of "Flag Day"
Jez Butterworth as meant to be in the Twin Cities today to attend the staged reading of "Flag Day," his adaptation of Jennifer Vogel's "Flim Flam Man."
He didn't make it though, as apparently his deadline for another script got moved up, way up because of the impending writers strike in Hollywood.
Not to worry though. Producer Bill Horberg is here for the show. He's also the producer behind "The Kite Runner," which has been giving his more than a few headaches in recent weeks. As word has spread in Afghanistan about the rape scene in the film it's raised a lot of anger, to the point that the child actors involved have gone into hiding.
Horberg talked about it today when he visited MPR.
