Here's an interesting idea: why not spread a film festival over a bunch of venues in a number of countries, but do it all in about a week?
That's exactly what the Manhattan Short Film Festival does. Now in it's tenth year, it runs September 23rd to 30th this year and it'll take place at 99 cities across North, Central, and South America, as well as Europe.
What's best is it's going to be in Minnesota too, specifically on Saturday September 29th at the Oak Street in Minneapolis.
The movies have to be less than 12 minutes to qualify.
The Festival received 456 entries and selected 12 finalists which will be shown at the venues. Audiences then get to vote on their favorites, and after the votes are gathered and totalled a winner will be announced on the evening of September 30th.
