There are a lot of local films getting their premiers in coming weeks.
For your viewing delight, take a couple of moments to view the trailer for "Mercedes Ray" which will blaze on-screen up north at the historic Fargo Theater on Saturday May 26th.
I have to admit I was laughing out loud when I saw it - and in a good way too!
I saw this in Fargo. It was okay, I guess. Mostly, though, it was too short, derivative, muddled, the soundtrack was out of place, and the sound quality sucked. There were times I could barely hear the actors and the dialogue they were speaking. However, there were a few good performances, particularly the two actors who played Lincoln (Scott Horvik) and Jefferson (Scott Edward Haugen). They were the only ones who really managed to make something out of their under-written characters with their performances. Otherwise, it's a mere trifle of a film with a meek execution.
I thought it was a good film. And you're right about those guys who played Jefferson and Lincoln...they WERE good.
The girl who played Mercedes Ray was hot!
