Here's a opportunity to really get in on the ground floor of a movie.
On January 23rd "House of Sand and Fog" screenwriter Shawn Lawrence Otto will direct a staged reading of his latest script "Dreams of a Dying Heart" at the Guthrie's Dowling Theater.
This is the latest in the Minnesota Screenwriters Workshop's ScriptNights. It's an opportunity for a screenwriter to hear his/her dialog read by actors in front of a reacting audience.
"Dreams of a Dying Heart" is an Iraq War story told from the perspective of a female chopper pilot who is shot down. Guthrie veteran and Hollywood regular John Carroll Lynch and former MPR host Kathryn Lanpher will read the script. Admission is $5. Details at the Guthrie Theater site on the performance calendar.
