Prairie Home money

A release from New Line Cinema proudly points out that the "A Prairie Home Companion" movie has made close to $20 million at the domestic box box office, since the movie's release in early June.
That number makes it one of the highest grossing independent movies of the summer. It is also the third most profitable movie of Mr Altman's career.
It makes you think.
The same release points out another New Line release "Snakes on a Plane" pulled in $15.2 million in its first weekend of release. It also points out that over a million people received personalized voicemails from Samuel L. Jackson advertising the movie.
Again it makes you think.
